The decorating committee will be placing memorial poinsettias in the sanctuary in celebration of the birth of our Savior. If you wish to have a poinsettia placed in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special individual, please fill out a form located in the foyer and place it in the offering plate or give it to Maribeth Holcomb. The cost is $9.00 and checks should be made payable to Westport Baptist Church and write poinsettias in the memo line. More information is available on the form in the foyer. We need your information by December 5.
Pack Away Hunger
Pack Away Hunger is February 15, 2020. The deadline to order a special T-shirt for that day has been extended to December 15th. Order forms are available in the foyer. There is also a sign-up sheet for those wanting to participate. Please contact Janetta Watts for more information.
We are collecting canned goods and nonperishable items for our basket distribution at Christmas time. Items may be left in the foyer. Please check the expiration dates.

Teacher Appreciation Dinner
South Decatur High School and South Decatur Elementary schools have been contacted and both have accepted our offer to provide the teachers a meal on the day they return from Christmas break on January 3. It is time for the planning to begin!!!! Last year we did soups, salads, rolls and desserts. This year an idea was given to do Taco Bar and all the fixins. If you would like to be a part of the planning.....please contact Pastor Paul to get involved in this ministry.
Please contact Pastor Paul on his cell phone at 443-510-5536 by call or text if you or others in the church have a need . (If you text, be sure to identify who you are!) If your call is of a less urgent nature you can still call the church phone at 812-591-3721 and leave a message if he is not in the office. He is checking the messages periodically, but not necessarily daily. His email address is email@example.com. Mail Address:

The church mission is to provide regular opportunities for public worship, sustain the ordinances, doctrines and ethics set forth in the New Testament, maintain a meaningful relationship with God and fellow believers and minister unselfishly to people in the community and world in Jesus’ name.
1 John 3:17-18, NIV If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
