By God’s grace, our passion for seeking Christ radiates through our daily lives. At Westport Baptist Church, we envision a vibrant community, filled with Christians who love the Lord and pursue Jesus in every aspect of their lives. Our church is alive with people engaged in worship, Bible study, and prayer, boldly proclaiming God’s Word.
We envision a Christ centered inspiring worship service where the sanctuary is alive with people of all ages, praising God through a blended worship style.
We envision a church that helps people discover and use their spiritual gifts. We envision dedicated individuals leading and participating in a thriving Sunday school program and small groups that meet regularly for prayer and Bible study.
Our church is committed to prayer and spiritual growth, actively pursuing God’s will as we grow spiritually and apply what we learn. We believe in every word of the Bible and strive to deepen our relationship with Christ.
SHARING THE GOSPEL
By God’s grace, our passion for sharing the Gospel shines brightly. Our members are well-trained in evangelism and can confidently defend the faith. We aim to be the light and salt in Decatur County and beyond, boldly proclaiming the Gospel as we teach God’s Word and share His salvation with those we encounter.
Christ’s light is evident in our community interactions. Our church actively demonstrates Christ’s love, accepting all people regardless of their past. Our seats are filled with believers worshipping in Spirit and truth. Newcomers are welcomed, remembered, and encouraged to return and experience Christ. Young couples and singles find a home in our church family.
We see a mission-minded church where members are equipped to pursue missions worldwide. Our members seek mission opportunities and use their gifts to share the Gospel. Our church supports local and global missions prayerfully, financially, and by being the hands and feet of Christ.
SERVING OTHERS
By God’s grace, our passion for serving others is evident in our community and church family. Westport Baptist Church makes a positive impact in our community, unconditionally loving and forgiving as Christ does for us.
Our church offers effective ministries to both the community and its members, welcoming all age groups. Christ’s love is expressed tangibly in our community, meeting needs and sharing the greatest need – Christ.
We envision a church membership actively ministering to others in the body, edifying one another and seeking ways to be a blessing and encouragement.
